Connie Kolbrek

Connie has provided counseling and outreach services in the community for children, youth and families for the past 30 years. She has extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, stress and difficult life challenges. Her work within the schools has given her valuable experience in understanding adolescent issues and how they affect family, self-esteem and important decision making skills.

Connie focuses her approach on listening to each person’s unique and valuable sense of self. She works with individuals and families to identify and creatively reframe problematic issues while affirming individual strengths to create practical solutions.

Connie works with a variety of mental health, behavioral and relationship issues. Specific areas of emphasis include: anxiety, spirituality, depression, PTSD, domestic violence, adolescent/teen issues, child/parents/family conflicts, parenting skills, child/school issues and grief and loss. She is also trained in EMDR, a specific therapy designed to treat trauma and other unresolved issues.
